One of the first two floors house built after the earthquake in 1693, almost ruined by the following restorations is in via Vittorio Emanuele in front of Zappalà’s Palace.

Interesting the balcony with the overhangs in lava stone with the following inscription on the gable:

TIMETE DEUM ET DATE ILLI HONOREM

On the small door there is a round window of a previous period with an iron lattice. Near the corner a green Caltagirone ceramic plate with an inscription in black, “ LARGO MARINO”, certainly referring to the small triangle space in front of the house, that it probably belonged to the same owner and then abandoned by him.
The plate, either as material or manufacture, is part of the toponomy and of the system of numbering of the town established in 1700 as we can note in the whole old built-up area.
