He studied classical subjects in the Archiepiscopal Seminary and
then at the faculty of Law in Catania, after the dead of his brothers
he dedicated himself to the agriculture.
I shouldn’t have remembered him, if searching old manuscripts,
I didn’t find a collection of poetic dramatic and narrative works
of great effectiveness.
His works, all unpublished, go back to the years of the Risorgimento
and they are the precise expression of the yought of the period;
both heroic and romantic.
Some his poems are:
1) Primi Canti, sonnets
2) Sospiri e lagripoesie varie
3) Aeneid, Book IV, a verse translation
4) The Sicilian Vespers, dramatic poem
5) Memoirs, autobiography
He was born on 23 of March, and died in Catania on April 13 1910.
