The
artistic, cultural theatrical Club “ Principi di Giovanni” was created
at Trecastagni in 1986.
The promoters are some young people, coming from a parish group called “ Gli Instabili “, they performed a lot of comedies in the Sicilian dialect with great enthusiasm from 1975 to 1978 having an adequate success among the Trecastagnesi people. They performed in the small theatre of “M. Ausialitrice College and at the Metropolitan Theatre in Trecastagni.
After a period of silence from 1979 to 1985, Melo Toscano (the current President of the Association) together with some members of the previous group realizes his dream to form a theatrical Company in the town whose first aim was the spreading and the knowledge of the theatre considering it as an artistic-cultural expression, realizing comedies based on the daily life and in a special way on the social - cultural reality of our island.
The Theatrical Company has realized and performed up to now the following works:
